A while back, I posted about my eternal crush on Chipper Jones when we attended the
final game of his career last fall. As soon as his jersey retirement date was announced, I made sure we could go to that game as well. Chipper was inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame earlier that day, and before the game they had a uniform number retirement ceremony on the field. I don't think I've ever been to a baseball game that early before - there was no way we were missing it!
#10 was everywhere you looked....

And the grand reveal...! |
Very fitting that his was the 10th Braves uniform number to be retired. After they revealed his name and number up on the stadium, Chipper gave a great speech and threw the first pitch of the game.
To cap it off, we won 3-0 against the Diamondbacks. All around, it was a great night at Turner Field. Go Braves.
He looked pretty cute in that suit and tie! ;) good crush material :) happy you got to see his big night!
