High School Reunion

IIt's hard to believe this was 10 years ago, but at the same time it still feels like yesterday...

As many of you know, Bo and I met and started dating back in high school. I graduated class of 2002 and Bo graduated the following year, so we have a lot of common friends from high school. We missed my 10-year reunion last Thanksgiving since we had already planned to be in town for Christmas and my sister's bridal shower. I didn't think it was that big of a deal with all the constant updates on social media, and I'm also pretty good about keeping in touch with people and seeing old friends whenever we are in town. However, Bo was adamant about going to his reunion last month, and was (very surprisingly) really excited about it. Typical male - he does not like talking on the phone, texting, or writing emails which makes it difficult to keep up with people ;) So he wanted to see everyone - we actually had such a fun time and are really glad we went.

that's us in the back - Bo is waving!

This was actually the only picture we have from the reunion (and I stole it from the group's facebook page).  I didn't even bring my own camera, because most of our closest friends from his class couldn't make it, and the only thing more awkward than having somewhat forced conversations with people you haven't seen in 10 years, is taking pictures with people you haven't seen in 10 years! ;)

we won a raffle prize! just what we need. another coozie

Aside from the official reunion events, we spent the rest of the weekend with several of my friends from college and high school (and their husbands and babies!) who all live in town as well. We typically don't get to spend much time with them during our visits home, since we are usually only in town for weddings or other family events, so it was really great to catch up with everyone. Apparently too much catching up because I didn't take any pictures then, either!! I broke down and used my phone for the sake of getting a picture with Gen, just a few weeks before baby Robbie was born! I can't wait to meet him this fall :)

It was a quick and very busy trip home. Already looking forward to seeing everyone over Thanksgiving break!!
